History of the Company:
Recognizing a Need
Flash-Pack cards was founded in 1990 by lawyer and American history buff, Stacey Savin. Currently a teacher of Advanced Placement U.S. History at a New England prep school, Stacey graduated from Cornell University and Georgetown University Law Center , where she was an editor of the Law Review. A frequent traveler to our nation’s parks and historic sites, Stacey envisioned an educational tool that would combine history and art in a handy, visually appealing way. The cards match images from the nation’s best collections with text written by leading scholars and writers. The pictures reinforce the history and makes it easier to remember. Not surprisingly, they’ve been a big hit in the classroom — from grade school to college, where some professors assign them as required reading.
